My opinion of this series is that it is more good mystery than romance. I am surprised to see the romance category. Good mysteries also have more to them than kill and catch. I like the characters and find the stories intriguing.
when murder strikes too close to home...
Officially, she's still on maternity leave. But unofficially, Detective Jackie Kaminsky can't ignore a thirty-year-old unsolved murder. Especially since the bodies are buried in her own backyard...
Spokane detective Jackie Kaminsky finds her instincts as both a cop and a mother put to the ultimate test when she unearths the bodies of a murdered woman and a baby buried behind her new house. As a cop, she suspects this peaceful neighborhood is hiding a sinister secret. As a mother, she fears for her own baby's safety.
Her unofficial questioning of the longtime residents rattles someone into threatening both Jackie and her baby boy. But it's only when she uncovers the dead woman's diary that the true tale of desperation and twisted motives begins to emerge--even deadlier now than thirty years ago.
Somewhere in this quiet, idyllic neighborhood, a murderer is about to strike again.

the fourth in a good series. Another good read.
A must for mystery/ thriller lovers. Police detective Jackie Kamisky is on maternity leave when she becomes embroiled in a 30 year old "cold case" in her own neighborhood, where she is a newcomer. While digging in her backyard to install flower beds, she unearths two long buried skeletons, and begins investigation her new neighbors, and .........
The mystery part is good but the romance part is too overpowering for my taste.
Another great Jackie Kaminsky story.

Intriguing, interesting, exciting, and romantic! What more could you want in a book?
Mother and cop, Jackie finds both instincts needed when she unearths the bodies of a woman and baby, buried in her back yard. The cop in her suspects the neighborhood of hiding secret and the mother in her fears for her own child's safety.
