Exellent medical mystery by a former speechwriter for President Reagan.

The last thing plastic surgeon Jackson Maebry wants after a long day in the operating room is a call to the ER. When he gets there, he discovers a trauma case as horrific as he has ever seen: a young woman, beaten and burned almost beyond recognition. What Jackson's colleagues don't know is that the victim, Allie Sorosh, is Jackson's lover.
A terrific novel with a great plot.

Haven't listened to it. Just have gone off audio books for a while. A medical/police story in which the doctor becomes the suspect. Sounds good, just no time to listen.
The last thing plasatic surgery resident Jackson Maebry wants at the end of a long day in the operating room is a call to the ER. Once he gets there, what he finds is worse than his most hellish imaginings: a young woman, beaten and burned almost beyond recognition, a trauma case as terrible as any he has ever seen. What Jackson's colleagues don't know is that the victim, Allie, is actually his lover.
The last thing plastic surgeion resident Maebry wants at the end of a long day in the O.R.. Once he gets there, what he finds is worse than his more hellish imagings. A young woman, beaten and burned almost almost beyond recognition, a trauma case as he has ever seen. If I say anymore, it will give away who the victim actually is.
