Helpful Score: 1
This is the second in the series. Contemporary South or North? Carolina.
The characters are interesting. They were however introduced in the first book, so I suggest to read them in order. (At least these two - I haven't read the third as of yet.)

From the back cover:
No one knew more about heartbreak than Tara Parnell. Widowed and struggling to make ends meet, she was determined to overcome her obstacles with faith and business savvy. The last hurdle was her attraction to handsome businessman Stone Dempsey, the man who seemed determined to ruin all her plans....
For once, Stone felt something when he met Tara. Her sparkling eyes and shyness warmed him, but her stubbornness intrigued him even more. Finally, he'd found a kindred spirit and a reason to believe again. Stone wanted her in his life, but this would take some convincing. If he searched his heart, would he help Tara see that together they were a dream come true?

A nice quick read
The title is a little play on words since all three brothers in this series have nick-names as follows: "Rock, Stone, and Clay". Their real names were Roderick, Stanton, and Clayton.
This is the second in the trilogy and deals with Stone, the middle brother. As the title implies, he really does fit his name. His name is Stone and he is known to be a shewed business man. But when his shrewdness breaks Tara, his latest customer, he decides that instead of letting her hate him, he wants to make her fall in love with him!
The scene between Stone and Laurel during the power outage is probably my favorite scene in the whole entire book!
