GREAT book, couldn't put it down! Interesting right from the start, and never loses your attention. It will be one you will never forget! First in the series, followed by 'Soaring Eagle' and then 'Red Bird'.

This was my first book by this author and I loved it. It is a wonderful story about forgiveness and being content with what God gives us. Walks the Fire never gives up and because of her deep faith, she is able to endure the hardships of her life. Readers are also shown the depths of love on various levels: husband/wife, parental/child, friends. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next in the series.

I really liked this book. What would become of her? That is the question thoughout the whole book. Tragedy after tragedy to overcome. A look at what our nation and ancestors went through while growing into the nation it is today. Sometimes I think I would have liked to born back then, even though it was not an easy life.

Wonderful adventure and a beautiful love story. Interesting last half of the growth of Lincoln Nebraska. I am starting the second book, can't wait.

I enjoyed reading this book. Although slow at some points, the storyline kept my interest. It was a good Christian read without having to worry about language or inappropriate content. The story caused me to think of my actions and reactions in the face of hardship, and also to remember that God is always there and has a plan for my life. I'll be looking for the sequal.
