This book is just barely OK. It is rather dull and flat. Not much happens all the way through and the ending is not at all satisfying. The author leaves each short chapter with a cliffhanger and this is the only reason I kept reading. Actually, I skimmed the book after the first few chapters. I did not care about any of the characters. In my opinion this is a very dull and flat read - nothing to excite the senses.
According to the author, she originally planned this as a short story, which probably would have held my interest from beginning to end. As it was, there was very little story, little character development, and a very unsatisfactory ending. Every chapter ends with a little hint or cliffhanger of things to come.
