WHAT an eye opener! I highly recommend this book to every lapsed Catholic in particular, and everyone else in general. Don't read it if you're still into that stuff, because you'll just end up taking a match to it.
But it's more than just christian-bashing - he pretty much bashes every religion, even Buddhism. But it's not all about that either - that's a big part of it because he wants you to see clearly. But it's not just negativity and anti-this and anti-that.
