I wanted to review this book because I was so disappointed when I received it and found that unless you live in Southern California and some other southern places, the techniques and ideas are not very useful. I live in Northern New Mexico and most of the food ideas would not live through the winter weeks of minus zero we have. Still has good ideas, really best suited for the parts of the country that do not have harsh winters. I wish they had said this in their book description, but I am happy to pass it on here.
