This was really good until it wasn't. What started off as super creepy tale just kept going, and going, and going. The same things would initially happen over and over again. It gave me the vague impression of a dog chasing his tail.
We start out meeting Bela, an 8-year old that, at times, seems old for her age and at others, very young. She's adorable though so she was a good character to do the narrative. Throughout the story we also meet Mommy and Daddo and eventually Grandma Ruth. But then there is "the Other Mommy". This entity has been haunting Bela for a long time. All she wants to do is enter Bela's heart. As the story goes on, the entity becomes quite persistent and the family needs to bond together or lose Bela forever.
Like I said, good story but would've liked to have seen more from the entity or have the chunk of the book where they keep running around taken out or shortened up.
