Clare Elias has the perfect life. A successful, loving husband (maybe), a thriving business selling flowers (almost), and she is expecting her first (and second?!) child. What more could an independent, capable woman ask for?
Perhaps a nanny.
Jenna joins Clare's family to care for the new twins in what seems like the perfect situation (but not quite). Jenna's abusive boyfriend is becoming more and more needy and Jenna can't seem to break up with him, so living with Clare and her family simultaneously provides her with an income while also avoiding her obsessive boyfriend. It's perfect (kind of).
As Jenna and Clare provide much needed support for one another, they also find that unexpected feelings of jealousy and suspicion emerge.
If you read the back of this book, you will be told that this is an "...unforgettable story about the complex choices women make...".
But, is it really "complex choices" that are contained in the pages of this book or an unbelievable story line? Really, how many improbable events can happen in one woman's life? Twins. Abuse. Kidnapping. Insider trading. Betrayal. Accusations. Foreign travel. True love. And all in only six months? Come on.
I found that this book was a little outlandish and actually quite forgettable.
