The author,a former Episcopal priest, rejects the notion that light is always good and dark is always bad. She spends the book sharing her research in all kinds of darkness, including personal experiences. Recommending that for a full life we need to embrace the darkness in our lives, she provides a welcome view seldom heard elsewhere. A joy to read, and eye-opening as well.
