I'm really sorry this is the last Cedar Cove book, although this one was definitely not up to Cedar Cove standards. I do love getting updates on characters from previous books in series, but this one was a syopsis of every previous book, not just an update. I was disappointed, to say the least, but I still liked it. Everybody is neatly tied up in ribbon, but there was just too much backstory. Maybe Debbie Macomber was tired of writing them and tried to get a pricey holiday book out. She did, but not up to her usual good stories. I felt kind of cheated since so much of it was over-redundant, but the updates were good.

The only thing good about this book wasn't the actual storyline of 1225 Christmas Tree Lane, rather it was the summary of the happily ever after of all the charachters of Cedar Cove Series. The actual storyline was so boring I had to skip through it....it would have been better she had done the book and then do the summary of the charachters in a short story-format at the end.

This was the usual upbeat Debbie Macomber book that was enjoyable reading. The author stated that this was the last in the Cedar Cover series and this book referred to many previous incidents in other books. It was a nice completion of the series and if you have read the others, you need to not miss this final chapter in delightful Cedar Cove.

I have read every book in this series, and I thought this one wrapped up everything nicely. Each chapter (along with the basic storyline)told about people who had been written about in each book, and what they were doing now. I recommend any or all of these books for a good, light read!

This is the final book in the Cedar Cove series, and while I'm sad to see the series end after all these years, I felt this final book was well-written. There was an update on each couple from the previous books, and all the loose ends were tied up. What will I do each September without a new Cedar Cove book to read? I can only hope any new series Debbie writes end up as beloved as these books are.

Final book in the series. Ties up all the loose ends. Glad to see that everything works out for all characters. A feel good experience just like all the others in the series.

A normal read for a Debbie Mccomber book. Steady story, simple reading, happy ending.

Last book in Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove series. With the help of 10 puppies, she ties all the Cedar Cove families together. I'm sorry to see the series end. I can't believe that it's been 11 years. Thanks Debbie for letting us be apart of all their lives.

Book was OK. I definitely enjoyed others in the Cedar Cove series more than this one.

The is the last book in Debbie's Cedar Cove series and I was sorry to have it end. But the book was so good, I could not put it down. She did an excellent job introducing the residents of 1225 Christmas Tree Lane and wrapping up the stories of the lives of the residents of the other places she profiled in the Cedar Cove series. I loved the how she tied it all together with the help of ten little puppies. I highly recommend this final installment.

An excellent read, not only do you enjoy Christmas and romance in cedar cove, but also a recap on all the families and relationships in the series. Definitely a summation of the series. I for one will be sad to see it end.

As someone who has been following this series beginning back in 2001, it was with mixed feelings that I picked up this last book. I wanted to read the book but felt saddened that the series was coming to an end. I think Ms. Macomber made a wise decision to bring it to closure since a couple of the more recent books haven't been the same quality of the earlier ones, but it still brought up feelings of melancholy since I have spent many hours enjoying her books, particularly this series. I found it fitting that the last book is a Christmas book since I believe that is an area where this author shines. It just isn't the holiday season without a heartwarming Christmas tale (particularly "Mrs. Miracle" - if you haven't read it, you really should).

Beth Morehouse is the character around which this novel is built, and we get to know her a bit better as she faces a hectic holiday season at her Christmas tree farm. As always, there are lots of things going on in her life, not just the busy business. Her college-age daughters are scheming to reunite her and her ex-husband by inviting him to Cedar Cove for Christmas, a pile of puppies has also been deposited with her that require time and effort at finding them all homes, and she is wondering if her relationship with the local vet has romantic promise.

This final novel has a slightly different feel since not only are we following Beth's story, Ms. Macomber is trying to bring many of the stories from many years to closure. There may be characters I missed, but it seems to me that every main character we have been introduced to over the past ten years is at least mentioned or has their storyline referenced. As a result, there is a lot of "stuff" going on and, at times, the narrative seems rushed but I still have to say she did a great job in writing this final book. I don't believe the intended audience is a new reader to the series, but rather a long-time fan who wants resolution. There are an even larger number of tidy endings this time out, but I think that is totally appropriate. Who wants to be left hanging after following the series for years? I think long-time fans will be pleased, but I would definitely not recommend this book as a stand-alone Christmas novel - the reader has to have the history of the characters to appreciate this final narrative.

Bottom line: Debbie Macomber ended an entertaining series in the most satisfactory way possible and with her usual grace. As a reader, I would like to say "Thank You" to her for providing hours of enjoyment to me and other readers. It has been a pleasure!

I didn;t get beyond the 1st 3 chapters: I didn;t realize it was a youth book (and if it is not it should be).

The people of Cedar Cove know how to celebrate Christmas. Like Grace and Olivia and everyone else, Beth Morehouse expects this Christmas to be one of her best. Her small Christmas-tree farm is prospering, her daughters and her dogs are happy and well, and her new relationship with local vet Ted Reynolds is showing plenty of romantic promise.

Butsomeone recently left a basket filled with puppies on her doorstep, puppies she's determined to place in good homes. That's complication number one. And number two is that her daughters Bailey and Sophie have invited their dad, Beth's ex-husband, Kent, to Cedar Cove for Christmas. The girls have visions of a mom-and-dad reunion dancing in their heads.

As always in life -- and in Cedar Cove -- there are surprises, too. More than one family's going to have a puppy under the tree. More than one scheme will go awry. And more than one romance will have a happy ending!

Great gift copy! I loved this book.
