I think 3 stars is a good rating for a book of this genre. Dont expect nobel prize writing. My book clearly says on the front cover a sexy mystery. And it delivered.

I read book one, and really enjoyed this one also. Our main character has 3 men who want her, the police detective of course, Peter her old highschool boyfriend and, the Body mover. Now we have a dead woman who was stolen our heroines identity. and the story takes you on a wild ride from there. The murderer was a surprise. I loved it.

This book starts exactly at the moment the first, Body Movers, leaves off with a phone call from her errant, bail-jumping father. Carlotta drops the phone and through a series of unfortunate incidents is unable to take the call. Her life becomes more complicated as her identity is stolen and her double winds up dead.

Her brother is still in a lot of trouble with loan sharks and his probation. Three men are pursuing Carlotta for romance but with her identity stolen, her parents on the lam, her disingenuous brother constantly making mistakes, she barely has time to think let alone fall in love.

This series is light, clever, witty, and engaging with likeable fun and funny characters and interesting story lines. The endings are not predictable. I look forward to reading the others in the series. I like Carlotta and her brother and no wonder she has trouble choosing among the men, though I do have my favorite.

Wise cracking chick lit meets light hearted mystery!

Such a mix of mystery, dead bodies, 3 different men to choose from. A gambling brother that knows better. Carlotta gets into so many scrapes but comes out of them hilariously. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series

I enjoyed the series very much. Read the novels that pre-date the series first for a bit of background information (not required). Fun, quick read. Hooked me and couldn't stop reading the series! Just had to know what happened next. Waiting for book 7, due out in 2012 - but when??

I do not like all the sex details in the books, however it is easy to skip past and you miss nothing by skipping it. So each to their own! Some rather vulgar language as well, not able to skip it all, so if this type of thing offends you, I would not recommend this series.

I recommend this series with reserve because of the sex content & vulgar language. The sex details are not as bad as some, but worse than others. I do not think it would keep me from reading the stories, but it might some. So now you know - use your own judgement!

Carlotta is one lady who can't keep herself out of trouble. Her brother, Wesley, is one messed up dude. Gambling, loan sharks, drinking, computer fraud. The list just goes on and on. Carlotta finds herself mixed up in murders, both as a suspect and a potential victim which she feels it necessary to solve. She has three men chasing her - her ex-fiance, her brother's boss (Cooper) and the cop set on capturing her fugitive father. And if that's not enough, she has a double who has stolen her identity and then mysteriously died.

This book has it all. The action starts on page one and just doesn't let up. I really like the cop, Jack Terry. He's a good guy with the hots for Carlotta but the conflict of interest is holding him back...sorta. I like Cooper's too but Peter is a prick and she should leave him right where he is after all he dumped her like a hot potato when her father split and left her penniless. Of course, it was left hanging and now I'll have to read book three in order to find out who she chooses.

Was a quick read. Stephanie Bond keeps you chuckling in her usual manner. If you enjoy her writing, then you must read this part 2 of the Body Movers.
