A GREAT story!
But here is a little advice:
This is one of the only books that I can say "Go Ahead and Skip some parts".
Jules Verne tried to make the story as real and scientific as possible. Occasionally you will come across long paragraphs listing fish after fish after fish... with no real point.
Go ahead and skip those paragraphs... they have no real bearing on the plot, and will only interest you if you are a marine biologist.
Other than that, READ IT ALL! It is a GREAT story that is still as awe inspiring as it was the day it was published.

A classic Jules Verne.
