I love to read serious books, but every now and then, I need a little light-hearted humor and laughter. I was able to read through this book very quickly, and it was pretty enjoyable. You should read this if you're looking for wacky, out-there situations that will make you laugh at the sheer ridiculousness of the situations. Some of the commentary was right on point, and I loved when I agreed with the character's observations and social commentaries.
There were a few elements that I really disliked about this book, however. First, the plot was pretty transparent. Generally, with chick-lit, you know where it's going and how you get there is really what matters. But at the same time, I still value a few moments of unpredictability before the ending that you know is going to come. I think she tried to throw a few of those curveballs in without very much success.
Secondly, where was her editor? There are glaring typos, misused, and misspelled words. I almost couldn't believe it. In addition, there were a few cliche phrases the author uses over, and over in the same situation. Could have used some variety. For example, whenever she speaks to her mother, her voice "goes up an octave." Funny the first time, not so funny after the fifth.
All in all, it was exactly what I expected (minus the bad editing), so I can't really fault it. I enjoyed reading it, I got through it quickly, and it was just the light read that I was looking for.

I thought this book was very cute and pretty well-written. Although the story borders on ridiculous, it did make me think about my "number", where society would place me on the scale of prude to slut and if it really matters in the end. There is no mention of STDs or HIV, unfortunately. I think that would have made the book a lot less fluffy but there are very interesting and vivid characters throughout that really pushes the story along and makes you want to find out who she discovers next on her journey.

This book is so FUNNY!!!! One of my new favorites! Very well written. I couldn't put it down and finished it in one sitting!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!
This was a great story - Delilah Darling has just reached her self imposed limit of the number of men she will sleep with to find her 'One' - follow along with her hilarious adventures to revisit each and every one of her ex's to find out if he could be 'The One'
This was one of my favorite books. It was hard to put down and kept me laughing.
Lot's of fun! A great read :)
This was a great, funny story. I loved Delilah and all her misadventures, but what was going on with the editing?!? At times it was like reading something written by a 3rd grader! "Butt" where it should have been "But", "You're" when it should have been "Your", etc. She should fire her editor and find someone who knows basic grammar! It was distracting at times, but fortunately it didn't take away from a great story!
Awesome book! I love Bosnak's style of writing. She is very funny! It's a tad predictable, but that's chic lit for you. :)
I would recommend it!
I would recommend it!
It was funny and well-written! It had great character development and adroit plot development. The premise was creative and delightful!
very good
This book is a nice and easy read. I enjoyed the characters even if it was a bit predictable. The editing, however, was awful. I don't know who here editor was but it didn't seem like there was one at all. There were so many times that I had to add words into sentences to make them make sense. Her first book was better.
I have to admit, I did see the movie that was based on the book, knowing that there would be differences. I liked the movie and thought the book would be better. Well, this was one instance where I liked the movie a bit more than the book. I was hoping the book would give more depth and comedy than the movie. I was hoping there'd be more scenes/development with Colin and maybe more moments with the other characters, like her friend or sister. I did like the ex's and their stories, but again was hoping for more with them. Overall, it was cute and fun and an easy read.
I found this book very cute. it was one that i was able to fly through, and i laughed a lot, it was light, and adorable. Yes, there are typos, and little things you will see, but they do not take away from the cute story.
Don't waste your time. A hackneyed storyline and unbelievably atrocious editing. Try Save Karyn instead...much better!
This is a great book! I could not put it down! A fictional story about a single woman about to turn 30 as her baby sister is planning her wedding. Our almost 30 main character suddenly decides to take a cross country road trip and finds herself in 15 embarrassing situations. I really enjoyed the way the author wrote the almost 30 yr old's inner monologue, it is the same as mine. Spot On!
