This thread is for continued discussion and questions regarding the 2015 Fantasy Challenge.

Have been lax in not posting in this thread about my books so I'll begin with the recent ones:

The Night Bird by Catherine Asaro is a delightful romantic fantasy filled with adventure.   Thoroughly enjoyed Allegro, the heroine, and her experiences when she is kidnapped by barbarians from her tranquil existence.  Sold as a love slave, her purchaser falls in love with her and marries her but the blending of two cultures makes for a great deal of conflict.  It's a good read!

Nebula Award Stories Eleven, edited by Ursula K. LeGuin, is a well done collection of stories by some famous and not so famous science fiction writers.  Authors include Fritz Leiber, Joe Haldeman, Roger Zelazny, Peter Nichols, P.J. Plauger, Vonda N. McIntyre, Harlan Ellison, Tom Reamy and Craig Strete,  I found myself enjoying the work of several new authors and returning to work of several I truly love.  The only thing missing was a tale by Ursula LeGuin herself.

Into the Forest by  Jean Hegland is  a novel that has gathered dust on my shelves for some time.  Two teenage sisters find their dreams smashed when they lose their parents and find themselves living in a world where so much is destroyed that they must learn survival techniques to go on with their lives.   Another enjoyable reading experience.
