If you are intersted in this challenge post a note here and make suggestions about what you would like to see.

My first nonfiction was Twelve Years a Slave by Solomon Northrup which is outstanding.  His recall about his abduction and the years he spent as a slave is beyond belief.  I recommend this one and will send my copy to anyone who is interested as it's unpostable - has stain in the upper righthand corner of the book.

I have Act One, the autobiography by Moss Hart for my real life bookclub and Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates.  Also My Life on the Road - Gloria Steinem and I still need to finish Deep Down Dark by Hector Tobar, which was tabled over the holidays.  Looks like biographies and current events

I did a nonfiction challenge back in 2011 and am interested in doing another. I can't remember how it worked. Are you going to set one up?

I'd love to have another nonfiction challenge.  My TBR currently has at least a dozen nonfiction books on it.  Biographies, history, some self help.

Yes, I will set one up!  Just wanted to test the waters.  Ask pbs friends who read nonfiction to participate.  The more the merrier.

Here are last year's categories with some exceptions.  Comments?

A.  Check it out:  Read books from 4 different categories - as many as you wish.

B.  Expand your horizons:  Read books from 8 different categories

C.  Spread your wings:  Read books from 12 categories - For those who love NF

1. Anthropology (Physical, Cultural, Linguistic or Archaeology)

2. Arts (Fine or Performing)

3 and 4. Biography/Memoirs

5. Entertainment

6. History

7. Nature/Animals

8. Personal/self/help, etc.

9. Social Science

10. Geography/Travel

11. True Crime

12. Create your own category

Since I find myself enjoying one area sometimes I think it's important to allow room for substitution.  Simply use SUBSTITUTION in any spot you wish and list your book, rating and a bit about it, whether you liked it or not.

I just finished my first book for this particular challenge, too.  I seem to be reading 4 books at once this month.
