Super Deluxe: 30 books, one for each category listed below (or double/triple-up and read 2 or 3 from the same category, as long as you cover at least 2 categories from each topic);  3 wild cards

Deluxe: 20 books, at least 3 from each topic; 1 wild card

Challenge: 12 books, at least 2 from each topic

Mini Challenge: 8 books, at least 1 from each topic

 

Topic 1: Everything in its Place - Read a book that features:

  1. a small town or sparsely populated area 
  2. a large or capital city/densely populated area
  3. an ocean, lake or river
  4. a mountain, forest, island, beach or desert
  5. a vehicle/mode of transportation
  6. a building (school, church, home, courtroom, office…)
  7. a foreign country (i.e. not the one you were born in or currently live in)
  8. an unusual setting (however you choose to define “unusual” –could be dystopian; underground; cyber-space; subway; prison; in a person’s mind…)

Topic 2: All Things to all People - Read a book that features:

  1. 1 protagonist
  2. 2 protagonists
  3. family members
  4. colleagues/co-workers
  5. friends/neighbors
  6. “frenemies,” or in which the protagonist and antagonist are the same character

Topic 3: IMHO – Read a book that is:

  1. told from 1st-person point of view
  2. told in a diary or letters
  3. told from multiple viewpoints
  4. told from 3rd-person point of view
  5. translated

Topic 4: In This Day and Age – Read a book that takes place:

  1. in one month or less

I have suggested at least once a few years ago I would like something sports related. I guess I got shot down again this time. How about a wild card? Is that in there somewhere?
