Thank you Alice for using my idea and for continuing this challenge. I hope to figure out a few possibilities that I have lingering around here needing read and getting my TBR set up for it over the holidays. Don’t think I will be able to manage the 50 states bonus part though. I was wondering if we can include the books read for the regular part in the bonus part simultaneously? |

Found it! It'll be a few days before I can get my list set up. Son arriving tomorrow who we haven't seen in two years and a granddaughter wedding New Years Eve.

I look forward to the challenge. I'm going to start my journal list of books soon. I'm a weirdo...I like to have a plan for a challenge. How do I know if it's a Cozy? Some authors are borderline--Louise Penny is the first one that comes to mind. |

For my choice for a category, I'm going to use one that was a challenge for me in 2019: Read a cozy with a beverage in it's title or pictured on the cover. Last Edited on: 1/1/20 2:21 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

When I'm making a numbered list as 1. 2. 3. does anyone know how to change it from double spacing to single spacing? to get that white out deleted between the numbers??? |

Looks like above when I use it |

I finished reading my first cozy in 2020. Foreign Eclairs (White House Chef, Bk 9) Julie Hyzy I used it for the Colorful Letters category as the title is printed in purple on the cover. It could also be used for Next in Line or What's Cooking. I even thought about using it for Washington, DC as the 51st stateish. As far as I can tell, this is the final book of the series and the ending of the book supports that. I'm sad as I loved this series. This book is not wishlisted and has been posted to my bookshelf. I'm in the process of reading two more cozies: one almost finished and just started the other one. It's a quick read though. I've started reading my TBR by reading the oldest on my TBR to the newest and have a few cozies to read before I get to a noncozy. I do get sidetracked by reading books selected in swaps. |

Another cozy completed: Seams Like Murder (Crochet, Bk 10) Betty Hechtman. I'm using it in the Colorful Letters category (bright yellow). It could also be used as Next in Line or for the state of California. I have the next two in the series to read so they'll probably be used for those categories. |

Finished up Quilt As You Go (Harriet Truman, Bk 3) by Arlene Sachitano. This has been a fun series. Although with this one the author seemed to be unsure of the direction she wanted to take the characters and dumbing down to middle school pettiness did set well. Hoping the next one will get back on the right track. |

And I get that one next! |

I really felt like reading a cozy. Too many big HF books I have been reading Last night I started Death by Chowder by Donna Walo Clancy First book in the series set in Cape Cod. It is a light quick read, only 172 pages. Entertaining. Good recipes in the back |

Finished the Next in Line of the Crocheting Mysteries today Hooking for Trouble (Crochet Mystery, Bk 11) Betty Hechtman. It could also be used for Colorful Letters category or the state of California. I'm probably use the following book that I'm starting today (On the Hook, Book 12) for the state of California. (I like to read several in a series and spread them around the challenge) |

Back to some cozies, I finished reading Silence of the Jams (Down South Cafe, Bk 2) Gayle Leeson today. I'm using it for the Grandparents are Great category as the grandmother of the MC's cousin is a featured fun character. It could be used in several categories: Next in Line, The Changing Seasons (summer), Meow, Colorful Letters, What's Cooking, and for the state of Virginia. I am reading the next in the series Honey-Baked Homicide now and putting the fourth of the series on my wishlist! |

Finished Honey-Baked Homicide (A Down South Cafe, Bk 3) Gayle Leeson today. I'm using it for the Changing Seasons category (summer). The back of the book says it's fall but......through reading the book it's August and hot temperatures so I consider that to still be summer myself. It could also be used in other categories: Next in Line, Grandparents are Great, Meow, Colorful Letters, What's Cooking, and for the state of Virginia. |

I read Forever Fudge (Candy Coated, Bk 6) Nancy CoCo yesterday. I'm using it for fall in The Changing Seasons category but it could also be used for Next in Line, Colorful Letters, What's Cooking or the state of Michigan. |
|||
|
|||
Today I read A Passion for Haunted Fashion (Haunted Vintage, Bk 6) Rose Pressey and using it for the Meow category. As the cat in the story is inhabited by the MC's grandmother the cozy could also be used for the Grandparents are Great category. Other categories that it could be placed in are Next in Line, Colorful Letters, or the state of Georgia. |

Last week I read this book: It was very short, but the ending surprised me. I would read more of this series. I put it in the "Murder in title" category, but it also has a cat on the cover and in the story, and is a new author for me. |

Yesterday I finished this book: Death Overdue (Karen Nash, Bk 2) :: I put it in the "Next in Line" series. It could also be in the colorful letters category. It was also in England, so could be "Traveling." I wonder why I waited so long to read this! I loved book one, and this one was also very good. But I am sad because it appears there is no 3rd book. |

I'm midway in one cozy but starting a noncozy I need to read for a swap. I'm sure they'll both be finished before the weekend is over. Especially as it's a cool drizzly day today. Margaret, I may have to order that book. I love my Christmas books. I read all I had this holiday season but already have received 6 or so for the next holiday season. |

I am reading The Coloring Crook by Krista Davis. I enjoyed book one and this one seems good so far. Quick easy to read cozy |

I finished Murder at the Opera by D.M. Quincy, a historical mystery. This is the third in the series and a lot of stuff the main character, Atlas Quincy, has been weighed down with finally is resolved. Well written. |
