Ladies, I am so sorry I've been MIA. My 35 y.o. son had to have open heart surgery last week & I traveled out of town to go be there. While his surgery went well my trip did not. Murphy's Law seems to greatly apply in my life.

Anyhow, I received my lovely package from Patrice. 2 pair of the softest socks imaginable, a Carmex lip balm (going straight into my winter car bag) & a couple packs of hot chocolate. Thank you so much .

I also received a sweet card with a yummy ginger honey lemon tea bag from Melanie.

Jeanne, the chicken poop lip balm was from me. They mailed it direct so I wasn't able to include a note.

Yesterday was hike #4 for this month, finally! It was wonderful. The woods were crowded with robins! I think they are migrating early. There is plenty of open water where I hike, and they were taking advantage of access.

Today it's 41 deg. with 19 mph winds so it feels like 31 d. with bright sunshine.  The next 5 days or so will feel like a heat wave and what little snow we have will disappear and then a re-run of the mid-teen temps will return.
