A wonderful autobiography filled with Tomi DePaola's fun drawings. Great for middle elementary readers.
dePaola's book is a charming, gentle, funny beginning to more stories of his life, told in the voice of the child Tomie. His respect and reverence for both the old and the young is clear. He's giving us a glimpse in the 30's and his own childhood.
