Eugenia Potters are light, fun cozies -- highly recommended (and so's the chili!).

I'm not all that big into "cooking mysteries," but that fine mystery author Nancy Pickard has breathed new life into Virginia Rich's series about Maine/Tuscon denizen Eugenia Potter. In this book, set in Tuscon, Mrs. Potter must figure out what happened to her missing ranch manager and his granddaughter--and who really poisoned her dinner guest. Surely it wasn't her 27-ingredient chili?

Throw in several eccentric ranch owners, an old love from 40 years ago, a recipe for chili that contains 27 ingredients, and several mysterious deaths and you have the recipe for a great mystery on your hands!!

It is a very good book with Eugenia Potter as the main character. Virginia Rich created the story and characters, but she died and Nancy Pichard wrote the book.
