Crepes with creamy berry filling, Tandoori Turkey, Basmati Rice with peas and cashews, Corn salad with sun-dried tomatoes and dill dressing, Spicy Moroccan carrot salad, Couscous with chicken and roasted peppers are among the lovely recipes in this book. No photos or illustrations.
The recipes in this book are grouped into meals (30, of course), with main course, side dish and often a dessert. Although the recipes looked good, and would probably be very tasty, they just weren't the kind of recipes that I would cook, and contained ingredients that I would never have on hand.
One of the things that really sets this book apart from other low-fat cookbooks is that it is formatted in actual meals, rather than simply dishes. This makes this book a time-saver for those who like to do meal-planning on a weekly or monthly basis. It also contains recipes for dishes from different cuisines, which is nice for those who get tired of the "same-old." Taken all together, over 100 different dishes are organized into these 30 meals. Some of the ingredients are a bit more unusual, but nothing one could not easily find at Whole Foods or Trader Joes, or a similar chain.
Over 100 low-fat, high-taste, quick-and-easy recipes!
This is hardcover, not paperback... great recipes!
Book is in excellent shape. However, there was a sticker on the cover of the book that I tried to remove as best as I could.
