Since her debut on the Food Network as the talented, free-spirited cook and host of 30 Minute Meals, Rachael Ray has found an audience, fans who love her, as much as they do her inventive recipes.
In this first companion book to the show, Rachael pulls out all the stops, wielding her EVOO or extra-virgin olive oil, trust Santoku knife with her typical "you can do it" flair, and she ahs produced a superb collection of recipes that she says will "make you look way-cool."
Look for your favorites, and feel free to mix and match recipes, as you like. "That's part of the fun," says Rachael, and "having fun in the kitchen is what cooking is all about." Divided into seven chapters (Make Your Own Take-Out, Monday thru Friday Dinner Specials, Family Style Suppers, Double Duty Dinners, Passport Meals, Big Nights: Very Special Dinners and Healthy Hunger Busters), these recipes, full of big flavors are disarmingly simple to make, and they call for ingredients found in any well stock supermarket.

good book! Love her recipes

Good recipes. However, "30 min meals" is a tad misleading. 30 min does NOT include ALL THE PREP involved before the real cooking begins. Boy, would I like to write to RR to tell her that!

Some interesting recipes but since calorie, fat, or carb counts are not included, I didn't use this book very often.

So far, I only tried one of her recipes, the one for onion rings, and it didn't really work. But it's fun to read. Who really fallows the recipes?? Maybe someday I'll try another one. I think this book would work out good for someone who has a family..... I just have a boyfriend. But he would love it if I made the recipes in this book, instead of the things that I cook, which usually have vinegar. I would say that this cook book would really appeal to men.

Great meals but a little more involved than I can manage in 30-minutes. Will be reposting this book soon so someone else can enjoy it that doesn't have to young children to "help" with meals.
I like the book very much.
I like the way that you have two or three course meals that are simple to make.
You may not like all the recipes (I am not a big fan of sea food, for example), but I think they are good overall.

Tasty recipes, nothing seems hard to make. There are only a few pages w/photographs, but it doesn't take away from the overall effectiveness of the book. I enjoyed that she includes many classic dishes that do not try to put a spin on an original recipe.
