This is the latest book in the Women's Murder Club series featuring Lindsay Boxer and friends. I was really looking forward to this book as it has been a while since the last book in the series, but I was disappointed. There were too many storylines going on in this book. The kidnapping cases ended up feeling insignificant with a poorly laid out story line. The ferry killer's case was interesting. Lindsay and her friends had so many negative things going on in their lives. When put together it did not all seem believable. This book seemed choppy - like James Patterson and Maxine Paetro wrote their own parts and put them together in the book without consulting one another. It did not have the typical James Patterson feel that I love. Overall, it was not his best book, but it was interesting enough to keep me reading.

Lindsay and the gang are back. A nice 6th book for this series. Again, I'm missing that "solving it together" thing they had in the first books. I think this "co-author" thing James Patterson has going on isn't working. His books have lost something. I'll continue with this series, of course, and hope for the best... I adore the characters, I just want to see more interaction with the girls.

This is a really good book. Sixth in The Women's Murder Club series, it is not a story of the women banding together and performing amazing feats to bring about true justice. There are two separate plots, connected by women who are members of the WMC, and I predict the reader will have trouble putting it down. Or, if the reader must stop reading for a while, the plot lines of murder and a bit of mayhem will creep into her/his thoughts and s/he might as well give in and pick up the book to finish it.

The conclusion is very satisfactory, causing me to think that Patterson must have been listening to his readers, dissatisfied with the frothy and semi-lifelike plots we've been given lately.

In this the 6th Women's Murder Club book we have several things going on at once. First there is a horrific shooting on a ferry boat that leaves several dead and women's club member Claire in the hospital. Then we have the abduction of a child from a wealthy family and the murder of her nanny. Lindsay Boxer takes a demotion to get back on the street to help solve both cases and of course nothing is as it originally appears. It moves quickly but frankly I would like to have seen more time dedicated to the kidnapping instead of the ferry shooting and subsequent trial as it had some very interesting aspects that were not addressed to my satisfaction. In any event it is a good quick read.

Number 6 in the Women's Murder Club series, "The 6th Target" by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro packs all the wallop of a skilled master author of police procedural fiction. From page 5, when Claire Washburn is gunned down trying to stop a shooting spree the action never stops.
Patterson and Paetro keep fans of the excellent series reading as Lindsay Boxer must juggle three separate cases to find her friend's assailant.
Be careful what you wish for, you may get it. Lindsay reduced in grade, is back working the streets while her partner is promoted to her former position. Plot twists and curves bring home a winner for the reader.

I always enjoy reading all the James Patterson's books and have read "most" of his. This one is a really good "page turner" and was such that I really had a hard time trying to figure out the end of the story. He just kept me looking to solve it right to the end. A very "good" story.
