Memoir of Crystal's childhood growing up on Long Island. Entertaining and a fast read - I read it in a day.

Billy Crystal writes, in his inimitable voice, about his father whose two jobs left him only Sundays to spend with his son, and who died after only 700 Sundays. This is a lovely little book based on Billy Crystals Tony Award-winning play of the same name by the same very nice very funny person. I enjoyed it.

Great book! I felt like I was listening to Billy instead of reading his words. I could hear his intonation, his voice was in my head during the entire reading (one day)! And how profound to put your time with your father in perspective with Sundays. That was the only day the whole family spent together-a time they SHARED each other. My favorite passage was when Billy stated, "Time is a bastard. When you're sad there's too much of it, and when you're happy, there's not enough." This story reminds all of us of how precious time is and how we must not waste it. We only have a limited number of Sundays.

Very funny and touching. I didn't care for the course language, but it was still a very moving tribute to Billy Crystal's father.

This was an excellent book by Billy Crystal. If you have ever seen any performace by him, you will hear his voice and mannerisms come through in his writing! This is a touching story of his family memories, specifically spending Sundays with his father.

One of America's most beloved entertainers takes us home. Billy Crystal opens the front door to a time in his life when he shared joy, love, music, and laughter with an eccentric family headed by the heardworking father wholeft them all too soon. To support his family, Billy's father, Jack worked two jobs and long hours and could spare only Sundays to spend with his loved ones. But these precious days would be in short supply - Jack's life was suddenly ended by a heart attack when Billy was just fifteen. 700 Sundays refers to the sadly precise amount of time shared by a devoted father and his adoring son.

Billy Crystal's father passed away when he was 15, which equates to about 700 Sundays he got to spend with him, give or take. This book is a quick and easy read, and you can relate everyone in your family to a member in his family. You will laugh out loud, you will cry, and then you want to go hug your family.

Such a great, down to earth book! I laughed and of course I cried. I was never a huge Billy Crystal fan, but after reading his book I look at his movies a little differently.

The first half of this book made me laugh and laugh! The second half of the book made me cry. This book is brilliant, a brilliant autobiography by Billy Crystal. This is a book that I believe everyone should read. It clocks in at less than 200 pages so there's no excuse not to read 700 Sundays a brilliant history of Billy Crystal's family and their very influential contributions to the entertainment business.

Awesome story about a very blessed American kid who grew up in an immigrant family, hung out with legends, lost his dad at age 15, and who just happened to be Billy Crystal.
