All I will say is Harold Robbins never disappoints. Only because my friend told me she loved every book written by Robbins and insisted I read them. She did not stir me wrong.:-)

Classic "Trash" from the 1960s or was it early 1970s. It is not as sexual explicit as today's "trashy" novels and that may help the book rather than hinder it. No, I wouldn't call it well written and certainly not sensitive. It is "erotic" if you like the Robbins style of eroticism. Robbins wrote more for men than he did for women. I'm sure a lot of men would love to aspire to the sexual prowess of a Robbins character, however most women would agree "real men just ain't like that"
I had read this book about 30 years ago. Back then I found it exciting. I have to say know that this time I found it obviously outdated.
