I've enjoyed all of Debbie Macomber's books, including this Cove series, but this one was so ho hum to the point of being boring. I'm surprised the characters in the book didn't fall off the pages in a dead sleep. Too much of it was repeating the things from previous books. There was nothing exciting in it to make me want to read the next one in the series.

I did not enjoy this book and skipped a lot of the chapters. I like this author's writing; I don't like it when each chapter is a separate story and the reader needs to learn a whole new story, new people and new circumstances every few pages. The story is all chopped into pieces and it's several chapters before you return to the story and people you started with. Then you read another few pages about them, then suddenly the next chapter is about someone else you probably met about 4 chapters ago, and so on and so on. If you like this style of writing and you have kept up with all the people living in Cedar Grove during the past several books, you'll probably enjoy this book. But if you don't yet know anyone in Cedar Grove, I would recommend you start with an earlier book in the series.

First book in this series I have ever read. I enjoyed the book. Had a hard time putting it down. Got so wrapped up in all the characters. I felt so sorry for Emily & her husband Dave. And also felt bad for sheriff Davis & Faith. I sure will go back and read all the books before this one in this series. Good reading.

It just keeps me anxiously waiting the next one! Read this series in order, if you can. Each book builds on the last. I highly recommend this series for one you won't want to put down!

Book #8 in the Cedar Cove series. This book is about Dave and Emily Flemming the pastors of Cedar Cove. Of course, you catch up some on the other members of the town. I enjoy this series, but you do need to read them in order as they build on each other and there is a little mystery in each. There is also always an unanswered question or mystery at the end of each book that is answered or solved in the next book.

Picked up a copy of 8 Sandpiper Way without having read any of the previous titles in Deb Macomber's Cedar Cove series. Didn't matter. Each title stands alone. I'm hooked... and plan to read all the other titles in this series.

There aren't that many secrets to keep in a close-knit community like Cedar Cove, Washington. So, when Emily Flemming finds an earring in her husband's pocket, she is understandably upset. The lost earring is definitely not hers, and Emily is worried that her husband Dave might be having an affair. She doesn't want to believe that Dave could or would cheat on her, but he's been acting so strangely lately that she just can't be certain.

Dave Flemming is a pastor - a loving husband and a wonderful father to their two boys; he truly is a good, upstanding, moral man - and Emily is deeply ashamed of her thoughts. However, she just can't stop herself from thinking this way. There's just something different about her husband, and she can't put her finger on what it is exactly. She has just learned that some jewelry was recently stolen from an elderly woman's house - and Dave used to visit the lady quite a bit.

Emily can't believe that Dave is guilty of doing anything illegal - that's just not in his nature. However, since he doesn't tell her where he's been when he comes home so late - she can't help but wonder just what is happening with him. Something is definitely going on with Dave; something certainly seems wrong with him, and Emily is determined to find out just what it is.

First of all, let me say that I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a quick and easy read for me, and a fairly pleasant way to spend a couple of days. I certainly appreciated having the list of characters at the beginning of the book; it was really helpful to know who was who as I was reading.

I must say that the story's plot actually wasn't all that difficult to follow. The storyline itself was pretty simple, and nothing really mind-blowing or overly dramatic happened; at least in my opinion. Although, I would still give this book an A!

Interesting read. I have read all 9 of the series and I really enjoyed all of them. I would recommend reading the series from the beginning so you don't get confused with all the characters.

I love the Cedar Cove Series. The books are just amazing. It makes me wish I lived in such a place like that. A lot of people are lucky if they even know theie neighbors let alone a whole small town.
