A great read about three generations, starting in Provence in southern France, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama, as well as Italy. Monique writes a delightful story of her family, searching for her maternal and paternal family ancestors. Monique comes to America after WWII, immediately has must adapt to America and it's culture. She, with a young baby in tow, finds work to support herself and baby.
Eventually Monique meets the man of her dreams and marries. She writes of her husband's business with Luzianne, a coffee co., and her adventures in America. Monique extends herself to learn English, becomes a language teacher in the American school system. Monique and her husband eventually build a successful travel agency for European countries. Monique takes her 5 children abroad and shows them her her roots in France, and that of her ancestors in Italy. A very colorful, descriptive writing.
