This was an enjoyable read for the most part, except that the heroine spent the first 100 pages kicking, screaming and name calling. It wasn't nearly as endearing as the author thought it was.

London is up in flames and someone is trying to kidnap a rich, but scarred heiress. She was injured in an assault on their home as a child and has hidden away ever since. Excellent book!

It was interesting that the heroine had a horribly scarred face - and that, to hide it, she becomes very reclusive...however, I rather wished she'd have just shot the hero in the first few pages - she had a gun on him. Would have been a better ending.
