Anyone who has high-school aged kids will recognize every character in this book. This is a fun summer read for parents and students, if they can squeeze it in between practice essays and SAT prep. Acceptance is an enjoyable, quick read that I'm going recommending to all my friends.

This is a must read book for teens stressing about applying to college and for the people who have to put up with them. It's funny and helps you laugh at all the craziness. The novel follows three students, their families and a college admissions officers for the year prior to the acceptance/rejection/wait list letters going out. Acceptance is an easy read that will give you a few chuckles and some perspective on the college application stress at the same time.

I definitely enjoyed reading this book. I am out of college, and have no children, but even though the plot of this book has no relation to my daily life happenings, the book was such a good read, it didn't matter. Anyone can appreciate the comedic and sometimes dramatic approaches people take to acheive their goals, and seeing how priorities shift throughout the course of year was very insightful. This book is an excellent read for anyone who is interested in human thought process, decision making, suburban lifestyles, highschoolers, parent/kid relationships, college admissions, or anyone looking for a good read. Excellent plot and character development.

This book was much harder for me to get into than I expected it to be. It was slow going for a long time. There were several times when I almost stopped reading it entirely, but I held out till the end. The ending was anticlimactic to me. I didn't hate the book, but I just ended up feeling indifferent by the end of it. Sadly, there isn't a neutral option when choosing the number of stars, so I practiced grade inflation and gave it 3 out of 5 instead of 2 out of 5.
