interesting book. poses a lot of questions about cultural identity and race in america- from the point of non-white and white. author uses his personal experiences to give context to and content to these questions.
my only problem is this author is he likes to use a whole lot of "big words" when (i think) simple words would be more effective. while i am well read (ok- i have been known to even read the dictionary...) i found this distracting. (this is most noticed in the first 1/3 of the book)
