You know when you read a book, but you know it should be half the length? this is one of those- SO many unnecessary words- do I really need to read about how the weeping willows looked on the moonless night?
The author states this at the beginning of the book- he took creative liberties. and made the book much longer than it should have been. "yawn"- get to the facts and the story- save the details for someone who cares. Sorry, skimmed the book, looking for the information I wanted.

Interesting story that could have been written in a feature length magazine article and included all the important information. I felt the author stretched his material to make it book length. There was a lot of conjecture of what might have been going through someone's mind plus lengthy detailing of scenery, settings, body types, etc that seemed like the writer was using it just for filler. Easy to read in a few hours time, I found myself skipping ahead to find out the next essential piece of the story.

From the true story in the news to the movie - I have seen and heard everything about the history of how Facebook was started and the person Mark Zuckerberg is. The news covered everything from a very logical side where everyone's opinions were shared. The movie definitely did not side with Zuckerberg.

The book - a whole different story (pun intended). Seeing as some of the people involved decided not to partake in the interviews, I felt that this book was very one-sided. I think it should have be renamed - Eduardo's story because the author definitely interviewed him and the story was really based on him and his adventures. A co-founder of facebook and its first investor - he is also on the list of people who Mark screwed over on his way to becoming the youngest billionaire.

I would pass this book onto those who are interested in the facebook story and want to hear something different from what was told in the movie and in the news. A great read with an interesting take on the story of facebook

I read some of this on the bus/subway when taking it to the VA Hospital where there are many readers. It got no reader at the old soldiers' home in eight weeks on the shelf.
It reads well but there is a lack of index, footnotes, and bibliography and so is not very easy for a student to use.
Author's note: "recreating dialogue," "recreated scenes," and "changed or imagined." Zuckerberg refused to be interviewed.
