I couldn't finish reading this book. I'm sure it's a very good book but, for some reason, I have a problem reading books that are written in the, I think it's considered, "first person". "I" and "Me" instead of "She". I should have read the reviews first.

This books was wonderful enough that I ordered the other two she has written to date. Classic regency romance, not too serious but hard to put down once you suspend disbelief regarding the initial premise. Highly recommended.

From the back cover:

I married the wrong man.

I had every intention of doing the thing right. Of saying my vows and walking out on the arm of Bertie Milburn. Nice, safe, easygoing Bertie. And that is precisely what I thought I had done.

But as it turned out, I'd been tricked! Tricked into marrying Bertie's twin brother Harry, the Earl of Cambourne and (as my mother would insist on reminding me at every opportunity) future Duke of Winfell! And the shocking way in which I found outâon my wedding night, no less. . . well, it doesn't bear repeating here!

And the truth is that Harry, who is my husband, but should not be, makes my hands shake and my heart pound in a way that Bertie never has and never will. Vexing, dangerously charming Harry, who won't tell me why he had to marry me, why he insists on masquerading about town as his brother, or most bothersome still, why he won't stop that annoying (and rather excitingly successful) habit of trying to seduce me!

What is a young lady to do?

I Loved It! Cute and Romantic. The first person dialogue makes it very engaging and unique.

I really enjoyed this book, not your normal regency style book. If you like Cindy Holbrook or Emily Carmichael then you will like this book.

Written in a very interesting first person style. Very funny engrossing story; I read it in one day. However, some of the loose ends that needed to be tied up at the end made the book a bit silly. My first book by this author, but I would definitely buy another.

A Regency Romace with modern day flair.

Gwen is tricked into marrying her finance's identical twin brother, who happends to be the heir. She finds herself falling for her husband Harry, but still doesn't know why he says HE had to marry her in the first place!

At first I found this book seemed rather boring but after I got used to the book as being told by the women in the book it got rather interesting and lots of humor. Some parts got rather confusing but overall I liked it!

I did wish that the author told the secret ahead of time to Gwen at the beginning of the book so that the reader had an idea of what was going on, since the main plot line was the romance. The hero was totally sexy and catching. The heroine, though, didn't seem to have much to her, even though she was one narrarating the book.

I really enjoyed this book. The romantic interludes were not graphic. However, the scenes were mostly in the last 1/3 of the book. The plot was very good. The mystery along with the romance was a great idea. Were Milburn's and Cambourne's transformations complete? Who turned traitor? Who did Gwen end up married to? Who were the blackmailers?
