I'm sad to say it, but this is probably one of the worst books I've ever read. The plot is non existent, the characters thin, and it is full of inconsistencies. I think this will be my last Churchill. I don't know what happened to her.

Jane and Mel get married!!!!! Finally. Quite honestly, this book was very light on mystery. It almost felt like the author felt she had to tie up loose ends before she felt comfortable moving aways from this group of characters.
Even without all the mystery, I found this book to be enthralling. Things that I wanted to happen books ago did. But it also meant that some sad things had to happen as well. I've come to love this family, so it was a little sad to think this might be the end. If there is never another book in this series, I feel satisfied. If there is another book in this series, I will be delighted. But I wonder if the author will do some spin offs....

I have like all of Jill Churchill's Jane Jeffry's mysteries but I am disappointed in this one. It just isn't up to the rest of them. I think maybe she should just wait a bit for the next one to really get back to the fun of these stories.

Although I've really enjoyed previous Jane Jeffry "mysteries," this was a disappointment. The mystery element was almost completely absent while the book focused on extraneous matters, Jane's book, wedding, and family relationships. While these are part and parcel of her life, as a mystery series, I expect more mystery and in this book, it seemed like an afterthought and certainly wasn't compelling.
