I really liked this book. Good plot, great characters. Definitely adult reading. Couldn't put it down!

This is very much a Hollywood movie stars story. It really tells it like it is as far as what a famous Hollywood lifestyle would be like. It has a lot of sex scenes in it but nothing so graphic that it would be considered way out of line. A very good read with a very nice ending.

I loved this debut novel by Tilly Bagshawe. It was engaging and kept me turning the pages. I have not read her second book but if it is anything like the first one I will be gobbling it up. Great read, especially for fans of Jackie Collins...same style.
Surprisingly good glitz novel that includes family as an important element.
Excellent "vacation" book. Good story of a spoiled little rich girl, ala Harold Robbins.
To the outside world, Siena MaMahon has a fairytale life. Born into a great Hollywood dynasty - granddaughter of forties movie legend Duke McMahon, daughter of billionaire producer Pete McMahon - she is blessed with beauty, brains and wealth, a proverbial princess. But behind the wrought iron gates of the sprawling McMahon mansion in the Hollywood Hills, life is far from happy. The McMahons are bound together not by love, but by ambition, greed and intrigue. When a gold-digging English aristocrat, Caroline Berkeley, worms her way into their lives and their home, the fault lines in the feuding family are blown right open. In an effort to protect Siena from the fall-out, her parents pack her off to an English boarding school. But Siena has a burning ambition she will not lose sight of. She is determined to become a Hollywood star in her own right, just as her grandfather once said she would be. One way or another, Siena McMahon is going to return to LA and take the City of Dreams by storm. And woe betide anyone who gets in her way...
A spoiled girl goes about life in a way so as to completely alienate everyone who ever loved her. Definitely not something I would recommend for "deep" reading, but okay for a light beach or pool read.
I have never read anything from this author before but I will be keeping tabs on her work as I found this book to be absolutely intriguing and hard to put down. The characters were brought to life with vivid descriptions. The story begins and ends full circle with the main character, Siena. Although the book has several pages, it is a quick, fun read.
Fun and sexy, escapist fantasy and guilty pleasure !
Entertaining and addicting.
Good book, Juicy and great escape..Always fun to read about hollywood lives
Good "Hollywood" book.
New York Times Bestseller. Good Book. Story of the life of the granddaughter of a Hollywood Legend.
ADORED is an ambitious debut novel that takes you inside the world of Hollywood in the same vein of a Jackie Collins novelit's purely candy for the brain.
And while I think the storytelling does show promise, none of the characters ever actually step into three dimensions, which is unfortunate after you spend 548 hardcover pages with them! I mean, every single onefrom Duke to Minnie to Claire, Caroline, Siena, Hunter, Maxthey're all stick figures for the entire run time. Not to mention the loads of repetitive relationship rigmarole and character bloat could've been cut out from the middle without losing a thing.
Overall, the writing style was amateur and felt too over-indulged, so I can't get this one higher than a C+ but I've enjoyed a couple of Tilly Bagshawe's Sidney Sheldon novels so I'm certainly open to trying her again at some point in the future.

This one kept my interest. Main character was unlikable but others were very likable and consistent through the years. Good reader and ending not disappointing. Six cds read by Sonya Walger
Never read it, just recycling my wife's collection. Book is in good condition - slight wear on top-left corner. I will probably place clear tape over it.
