Aesop's Fables are true classic tales! The illustrations in this book are really fun and it's great to share these well-known stories with kids! Everything from "The Tortoise and the Hare" and "The Lion and the Mouse" to lesser known tales like "The Porcupine and the Moles" and "The Lion in Love." There are over 60 short stories in this book! Highly recommended and timeless!

short 1 page stories. I keep this in our car and on longer outings, I read it to my husband when he's driving. These are not long stories, just short and to the point.

Illustrated by Fulvio Testa.
The fables are very, very, short, 8 or 9 lines, it's more of an art book than anything.

After each story is a little note about the moral of each tale-a very nice book to teach values from. Many tales have animals in them and kids will surely enjoy them.

The stories are the age old ones with the morals at the end. They're fun to read. The reason this book is special is because it is illustrated by Arthur Rackham. I have a number of fairy tale books illustrated by this famous early 20th century artist.

A very nice translation by Townsend, this contains many (as in at least 50) of the fables, along with simple pen-and-ink drawings.
