A very good and informative story about the Middle East and the Terrorist mentality. It was exciting to the very end.

Frederick Forsyth also wrote "The Odessa File, The Dogs of War, the fourth protocol...and this book keeps the streak going. The Afghan is a Guantanamo Bay prisoner and former Taliban commander. The Afghan is also Colonel Mike Martin, a twenty-five year war zone veteran enlisted to pass himself off as the trusted Khan. Forsyth conjures up the world of counterterrorism and has an exciting climax that makes the book well worth reading.

Forsyth does his research for his books very well. Another good one from the author of "The Odessa File" and "The Day of the Jackal".

Good Forsyth tale. Amazing how he ties to current events, almost like it is actual

An outstanding read. Makes one think about (and be thankful for) all the nameless warriors operating out there in the shadows to protect us. I will definitely be looking to read more from Mr. Forsyth...

Awesome read! Edge of my seat and could not put it down. Forsyth again creates believable and engaging characters. Plot development is complete, it draws you in and keeps you thinking about it when you aren't reading. Like, say, while you're at work...

A bit like an opera, one has to suspend disbelief at times. I did enjoy the pace and the detail, characteristics common to Forsyth's novels.
