This thriller is set high on a bridge in Mass. where a powerful modern drama of patriotism and daring unfolds. Where ordinary people perform heroic acts and the innocent play murderous roles.

A general who does not want to be a general

A sisteen year old trigger man looking forward to his first kill

A beautiful teenage girl forced to use a woman's weapons in a deadly game

And the misfit son of the head of Inner Delta, a secret intelligence unit who learns that it is possible to die more than once.

First published in 1979, this edition 1991. It's listed elsewhere as a children's/teen's book - my quick reading of it would suggest it's for adults.
