Incredibly beautiful writing about grief, family, and community along with small truisms about life that are exactly right. Antonia has a hole in her heart after her husband's death but she decides to honor him by embodying what she loved about him. When faced with a tough situation she chooses to say, "Let's see what love can do." The tough situations here include a sister in need of mental health care and a pregnant immigrant teen.

A book about family; a sister who is part of a sisterhood. It's hard not to relate to the sisters who are searching for the oldest, the wild one. After her husband dies, Antonia develops a new family and learns how to do things she's never done. Interspersed with bits of literature, the writing is lyric and soulful.
