Ever since his father got rich from his invention and the family moved from Jersey City to a posh community on Long Island, thirteen-year-old Tony Miglione had had nothing but problems. There was his friend Joel, who Tony knew was a shoplifter. And there was Joel's sixteen-year-old sister, Lisa, who got undressed every night without pulling down her shades. Having a lot of money brought problems, too. The new maid exiled Grandma from the kitchen, and Tony's mother was becoming a social-climbing phoney. On top of all that, there were the growing-up problems that all boys must face. And if his parent and friends knew what Tony thought about the whole business, they'd probably flip.

Review
"Tony Miglione is perfectly happy in Jersey City, and looking forward to going to junior high with his friends, so he is not at all pleased when he learns his father's invention has made the family rich....With a new school and burgeoning sexual yearnings to cope with, Tony is a troubled boy. Judy Blume does a fine job of seeing all this from a boy's viewpoint."--Saturday Review.
