The first story was written in first person from the male leads point of view. It was a nice twist to Ms. MacAlister's usual feminine first person voice. I enjoyed the first story, but I loved the second one.

Two stories of mortal female meets not-so-mortal, sexy male. Not my favorite book by Katie MacAlister. Qick, witty dialogue is her forte, but the convoluted thinking and explanations of myths can be confusing if you're not paying close attention.

The first story is told from the male's point of view which was refreshing as most romance stories are told from a female's standpoint. Both stories are good reads, but the first one seemed more flirty and fun, while the second was slightly less entertaining.

It was a quick read and traditional Katie Mac. I love Katie Mac. The characters of both stories were great, but I was left with the desire of wanting more of the first one, Stag Party. I would love to see more on this couple. Norse Truly had the potential to be developed into great characters as well. I think it was a big tease with the 2 short stories. Katie if you are reading this...WE WANT MORE LIKE HARD DAYS KNIGHT, CORSET DIARIES, and BLOW ME DOWN Please!!!!

Adorable romantic fantasy stories, both are well written and do a good job at making you smile. The first story from the male perspective was unique and laugh out out funny in several spots.

Funny story
This book has two two novellas and was a very quick, fun read. It was interesting to read the first novella Stag Party from a male point of view - however he was whiny and arrogant. Although, i guess fertility gods are used to getting their way, right? I just wasn't buying the chemistry between the two characters either. It was humorous though. I liked the second novella - Norse Truly MUCH better. It was far funnier and much more believable romantic chemistry. Overall, it was a great book to read quickly and pass along. 3 out of 5 stars.
Well it seems like Katie MacAlister had two ideas for stories that she just couldn't flush out into full sized books. The first book was just beyond terrible and I really regretted wasting a credit on it. The second was pretty cute and I zipped through it over a plane ride but still "mm glad I didn't pay full price for it.
I thought this would be a cute quirky story, but it just seemed predictable and stupid.
I love Katie MacAlister! I think she is one of the funniest romance writers out there and I read through her books faster than almost anyone else (MaryJanice Davidson being the only exception). This is two quick love stories revolving around myths. In true Katie style, there is traveling involved with the heroines somewhat out of their element and mixing in with all that there is to offer, including some very attractive males. I enjoyed the first story much more than the second, but that was because there were more characters that I felt like I understood. All in all, this is a great "beach" read and I highly recommend it. Along with all of her other books.
this was actually very fun. i sometimes forget the joy of a simple, funny, sexy read. this was perfectly just that.
Both of the two novellas are entertaining, light, witty, sexy romances. The men are more than perfect, being gods or immortals, this is to be expected and the women are headstrong, liberal American women - as most of MacAlister's men and women are. This is not heavy reading or great literature. However, if you are looking for cute and quick, this is the book for you. Fans of MacAlister will find much to like in her short works.

Both stories are boring. The hero in Stag Party is arrogant as hell and annoying as well. It's a wonder the heroine falls for him at all. Norse Truly is a little better since it has Vikings and it's hard to mess that up. All in all, not Katie MacAlister's best effort.
