This is one of my 2 and 4 year old's favorites. It's pretty wordy for the 2 year old but there are lots of items in the illustrations for her to "talk" about. They think Albert is hilarious (can't find his glasses that are on his head, leaves his tub running, puts his robe on backwards)...total preschooler humor.
In this story, Albert the Absent-Minded Alligator remembers that it's a special day-but he can't rembember why. His absent-mindedness gets him into one predicament after another until, with some help from his Alpha-Pet friends, he finally discovers what makes this a special indeed.
This is a delightful story that you can use to teach a gentle lesson about the important value of friendship-of being a good friend and having friends.
You can also use this story to introduce the letter A. As you read the story, ask your child to listen for all of the A words and point to objects whose names begin with A.

A great Alphapet book! You can read and interact with your child during the story to learn the letter A!
This is a great book to read with your child as it teaches them how to use the letter A and it teaches them important life principles.
The letter A book. It's the first book from the Alpha Pets series. Great for helping your child read!
