A wondeful continuation of the Allan Quartermain series. Allan follows his desinty once again to the central parts of Africa that have yet to be explored by Europeans. Here he meets the beautiful and mysterious "She who must be obeyed." And adventure follows ALlan at every step.

Through a chain of circumstances and mysterious "coincidences", Allan Quartermain is convinced to seek a legendary white witch reputed to be not merely over 2000 years old and immortal, but also whose beauty is said to be irresistible and lethal to men. Readers' excitement is immediately evoked from the very beginning of this quest and effectively maintained until the fateful conclusion.
