Like many of my clothing purchases, this book was an impulse buy, and one I will not regret! I read this book through in just a couple of hours and totally got into it. Fun, entertaining, and informative on the world of vintage fashion. By the time I was done with it I was ready to go on a shopping spree!

This book turned out to be quite the page turner as I glimpsed into the busy world of ex-supermodel Alison Houtte, owner of Brooklyn's Hooti Couture vintage clothing shop. She took me on a journey of a young love for vintage goods, go-sees and customers at her shop, which was never boring. It was one of those books that left me satisfied yet sad that it was over once I finished reading my last page. A great read for anyone curious about the life of a supermodel, anyone with a love and passion for fashion and vintage clothing or, like myself, anyone who loves little boutiques that tell stories about the articles of clothing hanging on the sales racks.

I love this book! She has a great style of writing, it felt more like having a conversation with an old friend, rather than reading a book.

Loved, Loved this book about the owner of a vintage shop on Flatbush Ave. I would make a trip to NYC just to visit this shop. LOVED it (did I say?)

I can't express how much I really loved this book! I bought it and recommended it to so many women friends. I think what I enjoyed most was her witty stories of vintage shopping and vintage shop owning. I am a thrift shop addict, and I can relate to the wonderful feeling one gets when coming up with a rare vintage find while rummaging through the rest of the "thrift" stuff. My closet contains many such finds. She's funny, she's savvy, and she's down to earth. Why can't she find a guy who appreciates all of this plus her intelligence? And there's always the beautiful former fashion model bonus, too. 5 stars!!!
