I was unimpressed by this book. From the title, I expected a book full of "scrappy" quilts; meaning that there are dozens of unique, patterned fabrics organized into a coherent pattern organized by value or intensity. There was really only one quilt in this book that met that definition--Confetti on page 50. The remainder were quilts made from a small number of closely related fabrics into simple, traditional quilt patterns, resulting in blankets that look like they were made in a third-world country and sold at Walmart. If you're interested in compelling scrap quilts, save your money on this one--get Lynn Roddy Brown's Simple Strategies for Block Swap Quilts instead.
