The series about a mystery-solving travel agent/tour guide is an easy rainy-day read.

I thought it was great! It was especially great as the introduction to a new series. Emily is a great character and I liked the slap-stick comedy that was thrown in. It was very entertaining and I enjoyed remembering some of the sights in Lucerne as they were discussed in the book. The mystery aspect was great considering I wasn't sure who the killer was until just before the reveal. Even then, I had my doubts. Excellent read and I can't wait to read the rest of this series. A new favorite I do believe!

This book I found to be very humorous. It's about a girl who goes on a trip with her grandma and other seniors. Mysterious murders keep happening. Many witty one-liners and suspicious characters. I enjoyed it.

This was one of the funniest mystery books that I have read in a long time. I laughed out loud. You would'nt think that being a tour guide for a seniors tour of Switzerland would be that interesting. I cannot wait to read the next one.

I really enjoyed this lighthearted cozy mystery, right up to the end⦠then it fell apart for me. It was the dialogue. It felt contrived and cheesy (no pun intended). However, I was able to overlook that part and enjoyed the whole book as great fun. I especially loved Emily's grandmother â says what she thinks when she wants to and has good ol' fashioned common Midwestern sense. Lots of fun! Just ignore the silly dialogue at the end! I did laugh out loud several times while reading this, which I have only done when reading Stephanie Plum or Scumble River books. I will be reading more in this series.

All the typical cozy elements, but they just work exceedingly well in this series debut. The scenery is nice and worked into the story without dragging, and the characterizations are wonderfully sharp. I can hardly wait to read the second one. There is only one reason these will not be "keepers": they are not the type of cozy that includes recipes or other "reference"-type fare.

Emily Andrews is one of my new favorite heroines!

I got this book because I heard the author was humorous -- what an understatement!! She has a very funny star character and lots of little quips that kept me enthralled ... like watching a sitcom through a book :) Can't wait for the next one!

This is one of the funniest mysteries I've ead since i discovered Janet Evanovich. Maddy hunter writes with whit. We all know seniors who have lost all their inhabitions and say whatever, whenever. Immagine a large group of these seniors traveling the world you've got the makings for a Passport to Perril mystery.

Emily Andrews reminds me of the heroine in the days of the silent movie (minus the railroad tracks and Snidely Whiplash)...if there is any trouble, she will find it, or it will find her....sometimes it was a bit over the top, but all that being said, it was a funny, entertaining book, and I probably will read the next in the series....

Accompanying her grandmother on a seniors tour of Switzerland, Emily Andrew had envisioned a vacation straight out of a travel brochure: spectacular scenery, great food, and a classy European hotel, all worlds away from her rural Iowa hometown. But her dream trip quickly snowballs into mayhem when smooth-talking tour escort Andy Simon is found dead. To be sure, Andy was as randy as a mountain goat on Viagra, hitting on every miss-Swiss or otherwise-within striking distance. His constant advances were driving Emily cuckoo-but had someone orchestrated his untimely death?

I thought the book was a good read and didn't know who the killer was until the end.

From inside cover:
"I found Shirley Angowski, attired in a pink nylon pegnoir edged with a profusion of pink boa feathers at the hem and cuffs. She was shaking with hysteria and screaming. 'He's dead! He's dead! Look at him, he's dead!'
'Who's dead?' I asked as more doors were flung open.
She pointed to the room next to mine.
Supine on the floor lay Andrew Simon, his skin pasty, eyes wide and bulging, hair disheveled, dressed in a handsome black smoking jacket with matching ascot that was pulled dreadfully askew. I thought the ascot was a bit over the top, especially since it looked as though Andy hadn't a clue how to knot the thing. Now he'd never know.
Shirley was right. Andy was dead.
Not a good way to begin your Golden Swiss Triangle Tour.
