Book 2 of 3 of the Fairlawn Series. Jen, mother of two, discovers she has a half sister and all the drama it brings along with it. She is trying to go to school to learn how to run the funeral home with Gerald's help. Gerald came with the funeral home when she inherited it. Sometimes funny, sometimes a little serious. Never in your face with being morbid in anyway but I like learning a little bit about how they prepare people when they pass. I love Angela Hunt's writing and will be reading alot more of her books. I'm diving into book 3, the last of the Fairlawn series. If you want a fast, light read, with some humor, pick this book up.

Different from her other books I've read, more lighthearted, but enjoyable. I enjoyed learning more about embalming, surprisingly!

I disliked only one thing about this book. The main character was pro-life but I felt not overly strong in the situation she was in though.

I love how Hunt has twists and turns in the story. You are never sure where you will end up. I also love how she writes in the unusual setting of a funeral home. That is food for thought.

Excellent book by Angela E. Hunt. Her characters are emotional, caring and fun. Their problems are realistic. They suffer heartache and healing.

This book was definitely as good as the 1st in the series. I love the way the author weaves the storylines together. I even found the info on embalming and funeral home procedures informative. I can't wait to read #3.

Wow--thought i'd sit down for a break and start this book--hours later i was still sitting there. Angela Hunt is one of my favorite authors and this is probably her best book. As usual i started in the middle of a series, as that is how the books arrive and i can't wait. But i don't think it matters. Ms. Hunt has tackled alot of different difficult subjects and did it with grace. The jest of the novel is about sisters found, difficult pregnacy, raising children alone and going to school to study to learn embalmeing procedure , working and living above a funeral home and mortuary. Although it sounds deep it really is written as a light hearted read. I felt like i wanted to live near these people, and did not want this read to end. Now i can't wait for the first one in the series to get here. LOL

Jennifer, new owner of a funeral home, is in school to get her funeral director's license. She is juggling school, work, and family when an unexpected person comes to town.

This was a good book, as was the first in the series. It had humor and sadness and was an enjoyable book to read.
