The story starts with the battle between the Eldons of England and the MacLagans of Scotland, who have been sworn enemies for centuries. We meet a 10-year-old Storm for the first time, who endears herself to her families' enemies, and leaves a mark on Tavis MacLagan, her future lover. Seven years later and Tavis stumbles into her by accident and end up saving her from the advances of Sir Hugh, but in return she was taken as a hostage. Of course we know the other reason for this, but that is what makes this book so exciting. As the story progresses, Storm and Tavis find themselves more and more drawn to each other. Storm falls in love with Tavis, and Tavis finds himself struggling to suppress his feelings for her for fear of being burned once again.

Yummy, yummy. I love Hannah Howell's books.
HONEYED KISSES
Captured in a border raid and held for ransom by the fierce Scottish clansmen who were her ancestral enemies, bewitchingly beautiful Storm Eldon knew her fate only too well. Tavis MacLagan would not harm her -- the arrogant knight had given his word on that -- but he would stop at nothing to get her into his bed.

Undeterred by her fiery temper, he swept her into his strong arms, silenced her sharp tongue with honeyed kisses, taking her to the edge of rapture...and beyond.

Pretty silly as books go, but a fun romance read!
Captered on the border Storm is kept for random by Tavis Maclagan. Soon he doesn't want her to leave. He loves fiery temper and vows to have her in his bed.

The main characters are very likeable. Storm is funny, quick-witted, passionate and strong. And she certainly doesn't mince words! Tavis is handsome and sexy and a perfect match for her. You will love every moment of them together, and will laugh at all their fights. The author has done really well to make the readers feel for the characters. This is a very sweet, witty and exciting novel, spiced up more by the sizzling love scenes. The appearance of their family also adds to the fun of the story.

This I would consider a quintessential romance novel, a relatable hero, a tragic heroine, great plot, and just enough of the "good stuff."
Loved the book. It is the forst issue of His Bonnie Bride.
Love her stories and couldn't put it down once I started.
Enjoyable historical romance by Hannah Howell, as always.
