This is the second in a series. Very fast, easy read. Enjoyable but predictable. Can't wait to finish the series to find out what happens to the last Chance brother.

Sometimes you just run across a gem and AMBUSHED is one of those. This is a new author, and series, for me, but I thought, WTH, I'll give it a try. The Chance family is one you used to visit every week, back in the day. Reminiscent of Bonanza and The Big Valley, et al. I have the next two books in the series and you can betcha it won't be long before I'll be cracking the covers on those two.

I think the description in the back cover is slightly misleading. Morgan comes straight out and say several times that she isn't interested in the ranch as a real estate agent and Gabe doesn't really make an issue of it. His family does a bit but that isn't the main problem between Morgan and Gabe.
Mostly Gabe is uncertain where he wants his life to go in the future but knows eventually it includes family and babies. Morgan after playing a major role in raising a bunch of siblings is uncertain if she ever wants family and babies.
Overall I can't say this book is deep in any sense but what I liked about Morgan and Gabe is that they were fun. In or out of bed. So if you like a nice fluffy story with a bit of silliness and laughs this one fits. Their problems are too easily fixed in the end but it's something easy to pass the time with.
