This is not like the pop-up books of my youth! As you open the pages, the Golden Gate Bridge folds itself out, there's a nice farm and field, Mount Rushmore, a Mesa Verde scene, A Mississippi River steamboat, buildings from Washington DC (Capitol, Washington Monument & Lincoln Memorial), and the very impressive Statue of Liberty. Robert Sabuda makes intricately engineered pop-ups, they are 3-dimensional and really stand out since they are all white on simply colored backgrounds. The text in this book is from the song America the Beautiful. Would be great for patriotic kids.
